The many characters, facets, and ideas of an old-school roleplayer.
Ryn Tierna

Age: 27
Sex: Female
Occupation: Weapons expert and ex-dogfighter pilot
Story:
The pride of the poisoned skies. Frostbite. Both names once given to the
Ghost-Ops' prime dog-fighter and weapons expert, Ryn Tierna. During
her time in the most elite dog-fighting squadron of the Interstellar
Combat Expedition (otherwise known as ICE), she had gained a reputation
as being not only the best dog-fighter and pilot that ICE had to offer,
but also the finest weapon's expert ever to had enlisted in the
squadrons. Such expertise did not come without a price, however. Having
spent such long years in high gravity forces of her one-manned scout
Prowler, the extreme pressures of the job had forced her body to rebel
against it's own purposes. She is often caught off guard by blackouts
due to the years of extreme G's and it is this she considers her
biggest weakness.
During a routine check of the outer solar systems, ICE encountered
enemy ships and were ambushed. In a tactical maneuver that many
considered as suicidal, she knowingly endangered her own squadron to
eliminate the threat. Soon thereafter, she was dismissed from the ICE
squadron. She now takes residence on ports and ships, taking part as a
weaponry expert and mechanic. It's a far drop from her heroic actions
with the ICE squad, but it is all she can do to keep herself well-fed and out of the eye of the military, at least until she wants to be found by them. But by that time, she expects to be fully prepared to take them on.
Roleplay Ideas: I would like to find a story involving some romance to try and soften her a little. Perhaps a strong, powerful character similar to her where the two of them could find a moment of tenderness together. She is also looking to acquire a ship and crew, if the romance isn't your thing.
Raelae Prime

Age: 64 cycles (appears to be 27 human years)
Gender: Female
Race: Hanoidian (a sentient humanoid race from Hanoid Prime)
Occupation: Gunship and freighter runner for the Hanoidian Prime Coalition (delivery girl for all of those illegal and secret cargoes that Hanoid Prime doesn't want anyone to know about)
Story:
The Hanoidians are notorious for being underhanded and sneaky, and are among the few races in the galaxy that can be trusted to transport illegal or contraband cargo from port to port without any questions asked, for the right price, of course. The Hanoidians were well respected by the criminals as a trusted and quite useful form of transporting and attaining unique and exotic objects, and the police turned their heads. The Hanoid empire had become a strong, risky business and had the support of many of the top crime factions in Omega Dawn. When you messed with the Hanoidians, you messed with every crime faction that they were allied with, and none of the inter-planetary police squadrons had the balls to do so.
For Raelae, each new day is a new opportunity to make a whole mess of money. As a child, Raelae grew up on Hanoid Prime, the only homeworld to the Hanopidians in Omega Dawn. After birth, the Hanoidians take the name of their birth planet as their surname. For Raelae, that planet was Hanoid Prime, and she spent much of her childhood working with her Hanoid Prime Coalition, the most influential and respected Coalition of traders in Omega Dawn. Raelae made it a habit of learning from and communicating with the top officials in the Hanoidian Prime Coalition, becoming one of their best and most trusted smugglers at a very young age. Raelae quickly managed to claw her way into the hearts of the favorable within the Hanoidian Prime Coalition, and by the time she reached her 30th cycle, she had managed to gain the respect and knowledge of with some of the highest members of the smuggling Resistance ( a group of men and women who were determined to bring down the Monarchy).
Smart, beautiful, and always reliable in transport, Raelae is a Hanoidian that is proud to be what she is. She takes flack from no one, and only the leaders of the Resistance have true saying over what she can accomplish.
Roleplay Ideas: Need something illegal smuggled across the galaxy with little questions asked? or perhaps you are a Human spy sent to out the Resistance. Or maybe you are just looking for a ride from one planet to another. Anything goes with this little Hanoidian.
Corine Reznir

Character based on the world of The Pegasus Series by Anne McCaffery
Preferred Genre: Sci-fi/Futuristic
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Occupation: Prime Talent, T1 in 'path and 'port, T3 empath and precog
Story:
The Talented World
The world of the Talented is one that that society has two extremes
for. It is either praised, welcomed, and adored, or hated, betrayed,
and abused by the people who needed it most. Unfortunately for the
Talented, it always has been (and probably always will be) subject to
such displeasures and bi-polar feelings on account of their wide
involvement in public affairs. There were three types of people when it
came to the Talented:
1) There are the Talented. They are
widely spread throughout the universe, and encompass a wide variety of
Talents and a large number of varying degrees of each. The Talented
world is ever expanding, and new Talents are being discovered all the
time. The wider known and recognized Talents include but are not
limited to Telepaths and 'ports, Telekinetics, Precognitives, Finders,
and Empaths. Each one has their own unique skill with differentiating
degrees of strength and potency.
2) There were those who adored
the Talented, felt that their abilities in detecting disasters with
Precognitives and avoiding them aided with the help of telepaths,
'ports, empaths, and telekinetics, was by far one of the greatest
assets that God had ever given man-kind. Gifts such as these should be
harnessed for helping others, and they truly were a blessing to the
world.
3) Then there are those who abhor Talent, saying that
it was nothing more than a freak genetic mutation that needed to be
wiped off the existence of humankind. These people were usually just
normal humans who were too jealous of their Talented brethren to care
much about the positive effects they had on society.
Corine's Story
Corine's birth was one that was celebrated amongst both her family, and
the entire Talented community. While there were numerous other Talented
who were quite adept at being the best in their field, Corine showed
great promise in the fields of Telepath and 'port, Empathy and
Precognition. She was one of the very few Talents who showed such skill
in more than one field of specialty, and her training was taken very
seriously among the others in the Talented community.
By the
time she was 7, Corine was praised as one of the strongest young minds
in the Talented community. Her adaptivity was startling, and her own
power progressed at much faster speeds than those of even the strongest
minds. Her prowess in teleporting and 'pathing objects with a detailed
precision was immediately put to good use in helping the surrounding
colony planets ships and receive valuable goods. By the time she was
13, she was registered as a T1 (Prime) Teleport and 'path, and a T3
empath and precog. It would not take long for her skills to fully
develop in maturity.
At the ripe age of 23, Corine is now
one of the top Talents in the world, using her skills and abilities to
help import and export food, much needed medical equipment, and other
various goods between struggling colony planets and communities. Her
precognitive skills are valued for being among the most accurate and
with the earliest detection as to help prevent disasters before they
come to fruition.
Aeryn Sun
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Occupation: Escaped prisoner on the run
Story:
((OOC- Aeryn is a Farscape character. I am creating an alternate
storyline for her, because the odds of finding roleplayers to actually
play John Crichton and the other Farscape characters is limited. However, I am always interested in finding people to play original canon characters from the show, but if you want to play a character that is from the show, I ask that you have at least seen a little bit of the show. I also accept original characters, including aliens))
Officer
Aeryn Sun was once an elite soldier in the Peacekeeper corps; she was a
pilot in Icarion Company, Pleisar Regiment, always the first unit in
harm's way.
Aeryn is intensely proud of the fact that she can hold her own among
any of her fellow soldiers, male or female. Being trapped aboard Moya and having to count on a crew of non-Peacekeepers for her survival at
first was anathema to her instincts and training, but it forced her to
grow as a person, to think in broader terms and to be better than she
was before.
Aeryn is still struggling to reconcile her Peacekeeper past with her
life in exile. Before she came aboard Moya, the Peacekeepers were the
only family she'd ever known; although she has since rejected it (and
been rejected by it), her pride and sense of knowing her purpose have
been wounded. She now sees the Peacekeepers more clearly — as ruthless,
often brutal thugs — but her pride was formed mostly out of what they
made her. Without them, even realizing their faults, she still has an
affinity for the culture and the status that she lost.
